We have a vacancy for a Technician to join our busy team in Peterborough to carry out efficient and effective diagnosis, service and repair to customers vehicles.

In addition to several years experience, the successful candidate will be a team player and have a real ‘can-do' mentality. This is to work alternate early and late shifts.

Key Aspects of the Role

- Take instruction from Chargehands, and carry out work in an efficient and effective manner.
- Diligently complete inspection sheets and job cards to the highest standard.
- Liaise with Parts Department as required.
- Ensure vehicles in yard are secure, with keys returned to Reception, and yard is locked up when finishing late shift.
- Ensure housekeeping is of highest order.
- Report back to Chargehand on any additional work required above that instructed that may need authority from Customer or Manufacturer.
- Develop Best Practice in all service operations and deliver consistently.
- Create and deliver a customer led culture in the service department.
- Take ownership of, and continually review and develop all service processes from customer contact to final delivery.
- Ensure all Company, Franchise, Health & Safety and Environmental policies and standards are adhered to within the service department, and branch as a whole.
- Contribute to the effective development of the branch as a whole.

Warranty & Service Administration Assistant

The successful candidate, working closely with the service manager, service advisors and foremen will have responsibility for DAF and Ford warranty input and control, retail invoicing, general administration and customer/liaison.

The ideal candidate will be confident but personable, well organised, self motivated, customer focussed with strong administration skills and capable working as part of close knit team with the minimum of supervision. Experience in the use of computer based service and warranty administration systems, specifically Kerridge, and the motor trade would be advantageous but is not a pre-requisite.

VW Commercial Vehicles - Aftersales Support Advisor
 
Due to the rapid expansion of the VW Commercials Franchise we have identified the need for an additional role to help provide support in warranty processing, front desk service cover and aftersales / sales marketing activities.   
 
This is a fundamentally strategic position which will enable the business to focus on developing our customer base which meeting the highly demanding standards you would expect from a quality vehicle supplier. 


Key Aspects of the Role 

  • Reporting to the VWCV Aftersales Manager and providing additional team support on a flexible basis.
  • Adhering to VWCV Core Service Processes in relation to customer service delivery
  • Maintaining ISO quality standards at all times
  • Use of VWCV Manufacturer systems to check for campaigns (field actions)
  • Booking in work within the capacity and capabilities of the department.
  • Raising job cards correctly, including precise instructions, standard repair times / codes and any special instructions.
  • Liaison with customers, keeping them informed of job progress and completion. Gaining authorisation and order numbers where necessary.
  • Liaison with technicians & Parts Dept ensuring good communication and clear understanding of pre-emptive ordering to reduce customer downtime.
  • Outbound calls to customers reminding of scheduled maintenance using POLK system, but also promoting new products, accessories and services.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate customer, vehicle and target data on DMS and ELSA Pro.
  • Raising accurate sub-contractors purchase orders to ISO standards and processing invoices / recharges.
  • Resolution of customer queries and use of customer complaint forms
  • Maximise customer satisfaction by monitoring VWCV's Who cares Wins program in implementing quality driven corrective actions where necessary
  • Assist the Service Controller in maximising utilisation, productivity and sold hours.
  • Associated filing duties.

  • Passing manufacturers stringent quality audit
  • Reducing warranty audit errors to zero
  • Attain highest CSI scores >95% by implementation of Service Core Process
  • Maximising workshop productivity to full potential.
  • Quality decision making within given parameters and in absence of supervision.
  • Zero invoice queries for no authorisation & service sheet accuracy.
  • No WIP's with booked hours older than 30 days.
  • Parts only WIP age below 45 days or better by working closely with parts team and re-booking with customers.
  • Delivery of clearly identified improvements in benchmarks in the department.
