New DAF CF Continues 70-Year Relationship for Harrisons and Motus Commercials

Motus Commercials Derby- DAF provide a brand new DAF CF to F. Harrison and Son Ltd's fleet. The 70 year relationship between them continues to grow due to their appreciation of DAF trucks and the very small distance to the dealership, too.

General haulage firm, F. Harrison & Son Ltd, has welcomed a brand new DAF CF to its DAF-heavy fleet, from Motus Commercials Derby – DAF.

Based out of Ashbourne in Derbyshire, Harrisons is a long-term customer of Motus Commercials with a relationship spanning some 70 years. Their fleet is made up of 6 vehicles – most of which are DAF – and this new truck has replaced an older model in the fleet.

The DAF CF 370 FAR Space Cab comes equipped with flatbed bodywork by Transport Enterprise, and a host of additional factory options which enhance both safety and driver comfort, such as LED lighting, luxury seats, fridge, TruckPhone, Predictive Cruise Control, tyre pressure monitoring, MX-Engine Brake & battery energy monitoring. The cab has a traditional style livery paying homage to the history of both Harrisons and the DAF CF model.
Andy Harrison, company owner, explains the reasons for buying the DAF CF, “When compared to equivalents from elsewhere, the DAF CF was a great price. We also already knew that we liked the model; it works well for the work that we do, with the DAF CF cab being big enough for a night out but not too big for building sites.

“We also have a fantastic relationship with the team at Motus Commercials Derby, which is ideally located just 6 or 7 miles away, and this was, of course, a driving factor too.”

After a few weeks on the road, Andy is pleased to report that his drivers are happy with the new addition, “Our drivers really like the DAF CF. Everything inside the cab is great, it’s very comfortable to drive and the drivers get a good night’s sleep too.”

Ian Wakefield, Sales Manager at Motus Commercials, comments, “I’m pleased to have been able to supply yet another fantastic looking DAF truck to F. Harrison & Son. As their local DAF dealer at Derby, we continue to go above and beyond to support Andy and his operation, and will see this CF in our workshop for routine work under its 2-year Preventative Maintenance Package.”
